Lions Day with the United Nations
March 9, 2007 is the date of the 29th Annual Lions Day with the United
Nations (UN) to be held at UN Headquarters in New York City. All Lions,
Leos, Lionesses and guests are invited to attend the daylong program and
lunch with UN ambassadors. Seating is limited, so reserve your place

Purchase Peace Poster Stamps
Six stamps featuring the designs of former Lions International Peace
Poster Contest winners are available to purchase from the UN Postal

New Lions ALERT Program
District governors and council chairpersons have been asked to encourage
Lions to serve as community leaders in the organization of a Lions ALERT
team to develop a pro-active community wide emergency response plan.

Would you like to volunteer for a Lions eyeglass mission? Do you have

Ensure that your club accomplishments are included in the annual

Lions Environmental Photo Contest
Organize a club-level contest to select the best photo in the categories
of animal, plant, landscape, weather phenomena, or special theme,
Serving Our Environment. Submit your winning club photo (by January 1,
2007) to the district competition. Winning multiple district photos will
appear at the 90th Lions International Convention in Chicago, Illinois,
